    Hi.

I rented 7hc of land of my father and went to the national reserve 4 years ago and got intitalments on them.

This year he has signed over all the land to me and there is no intitalments on the land.

Is there anyway to apply to get intitalments for this land now.

    Thanks

Down to your age etc. And if you have a half decent off farm salary then forget about it. You have the option to rent entitlements, can be an extra bit made out of it if you qualify as a young farmer.

No longer a younger farmer 😢

So I can't apply for any more intitalments.

I'll need to rent or buy them from now on.

Yes, I think there your only options. I rent a few for the last few years. I don't make a fortune from them but every few quid adds up I suppose.

You should wait until next year to see what changes the CAP reform will bring, the aim next year is to share the subsidies out to all active farmers.

Anything you do this year regarding entitlements will be a gamble. may pay off or may not
