I did WC last week and had the same dilemma with the 4.4m striker as I dont have BB left either, I went with Eduoard in the end instead of the 4.4m to try take advantage of the doubles coming up. There's a chance Leeds might have a double in 27 too so Raphina/Weighorst might have back to back doubles.

The Martinelli red last nite has scuppered some plans, down to this at the moment, one big decision to make

    Ramsdale - Foster

    TAA - Robbo - Cancelo - Dunk - Digne

    Bruno - Bowen - Rapha - Ramsey

    4.4m - Weghorst

Son & Maupay or Trossard & Kane

Kane's stats are through the roof and if he can start turning them into points he could fly. His xPts in particular blow Son out of the water

Even Wednesday nite he was ahead

Always prefer Son over Kane and gives you some extra cash to play with

Based purely on eye test, it’s son all day over kane

Son is the king of outperforming his stats though

Anyone hitting the Wildy button this week?

Ye I'm on the WC think I have the bones of the team put together and will be big at the back,

Fwd spots and GK spots proving bit trickier to put out

This is looking close to my WC for now

    Mendy Foster

    Trent Robertson Cancelo James Roberts

    Salah Martin Kulu Havertz Gordon

    Kane Weghurst Cucho

Big on defence, but it's hard not too I think, GK opted for Mendy over Ramsadale/ Pope

Fwd line with weg+ Cucho not happy on but alternatives are poor

Plan is to FH 33 and BB 36- or am I missing anything?

Was very close to not bothering carrying on tbh but got sucked back in again....

Don't know if I'll do much more tinkering....initial plan was to have a bench fodder 4.5m striker but the busy schedule and the Covid numbers means than Cucho got the nod...at least it's not King :-)

Have you any wiggle room to go Mateta instead of Cucho? He could have nice run of games 34-38 including a DGW at some stage.

Despite my best intentions I've been messing about with the team all day...Mateta is on the watchlist alright, some subtle changes have led to this:

    On this atm.

    0.6 itb

    Guaita Foster

    Cancelo Robertson James Chalobah Ayling

    Havertz Bruno Son Raphinha Saka

    Kane Pukki Gelhardt

@Cartman78 some very subtle changes that don't affect the structure of your team, which is good.

Madisson / Barnes is 50/50 anyways IMO. I think I'll try get Barnes eventually but happy to go with Madisson too.

It's then between who do you want - Pope or Mateta with Guaita & Cucho being the enabler. To make life harder for you, I would prefer Pope & Mateta! Pope has those DGWs and Burnley have more to gain from CS's that Palace have to gain from goals so I maybe the Burnley route is the better one? It may not work out that way but logic would be to have players from the teams with more to gain on the run in. What do Palace have to play for in the league? A top half place. They'll want the cup final too so rotation around that possibly.

    Untitled Image

    First Draft

    Schmeichel - Raya

    Cancelo - TAA - Laporte - Cash - Amartey

    Salah - KDB - Mount - Saka - Coutinho

    Pukki - Dennis - Nikita

To be honest, you prob won’t deviate to far on that

Presume by the selection of Rays you don’t have BB left? If you don’t then I wouldn’t change much tbh

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 20,625 ✭✭✭✭Rikand

I have no idea why I typed in raya, I didn't bring him in at all. I actually got Foster, not raya.

And yep, I will be bench boosting

Wildcard GW35 and BB in 36

This is what I'm going with at the moment but subject to change

    Sa - Schmeichel

    Cash - Matip - Robertson - Laporte - Alonso

    Mount - Havertz - Mane - Ramsey(Villa) - Gallagher

    Kane - Pukki - Toney
