Age groupings for Athletics Ireland competitions

What comes after u19s, which I think this year would be 2004.

Is it junior and then U23s or has U23s been scrapped?

Is a junior 19, 20, 21?

And can you run nationals as unattached?

And is there a date for national senior & junio outdoor T&F yet?

Sorry I misread. It is U20, it was U19 in my day

I am not sure there us a U19

But in my day they were not all off Jan 1st which cause chaos

Junior is age 16 to 19 in year of Compeiton (2003-2006)

U19 is age 18 in the year of Competition (2004)

U23 is age 20 to 22 in year of Competition (2000-2002)

Senior is age 16 and over in year of Competition (Bar the Shot, Discus, Hammer & Weight for Men where its 18 and over) (2006 / 2004)

You have to be part of a club on the island to run Regional or National Champs (ANI has some expections to this)

National Seniors - 25th & 26th June - Morton

National Junior & u23s - 17th July - Tullamore

AAI Games - 23rd & 24th July - Tullamore
