Hi everyone, anyone know if its possible to tailor a waistcoat belonging to a suit? Bought a not-so-cheap Ted Baker suit about 5 years ago but since then the waistcoat has grown (!!) very snug to the point it is too small :( Trying to find one that is the exact same colour is proving challenging (it's a light grey) and it also has lapels so would love to get one with lapels if possible too. Anyone know if it's possible to tailor or any business that will make a custom one the exact same? Thanks in advance!

Matching the colour is going to be the problem. That fabric is probably no longer available.

It might be possible to gain a cm or two from the seams or increase the back, which is probably a different fabric, while keeping the front.

Move the chair further from the table, as my late father used to say to himself when his clothes got snug!!!

Yeh I may take it to someone and see what they can do. Emailed Ted Baker and they no longer have the waistcoat unfortunately.

As for sitting further from the table, I'm putting it down to "filling out" through my twenties!! That's what I'm telling myself anyway!!! :D

    Appreciate the reply!
