    Hi,

    I have 2 Bose Soundtouch 10 speakers in the kitchen, 1 on either end. I have an Amazon Echo Dot for voice control but want to replace it with in-built voice control (Alexa).

    Budget about €500, what would you recommend please? Anything to beat Sono One?

    Thanks,

    Pa

    You may find Harman Kardon 7.1.4 system helpful which is Alexa compatible. You may read guide here first.

    @cheekcoven ,

    A 7.1.4 system is suitable for home cinema, but not for the situation described by the person asking the question - ie 2 speakers in a kitchen.

    @dinneenp,

    Sonos One with Alexa would seem to be the choice - just check that you're happy with the Sonos app setup.

    Cheers. I'll be mainly using voice control. If not voice control, I presume I can use the Spotify app to play directly to the Sonos speaker for selecting songs?

    I had considered getting Sonos for a kitchen system some time ago - at that stage Sonos were operated from within their own app to which other sources (like Spotify) would be linked. I can't say if this is still the same situation, so you should do a bit of reading - there are reviews and the manuals for most kit are available online and its usually worth checking out in advance. I went for an amp with a bluetooth module and speakers in the end but it was so rarely used I got rid of it.
