Remember when trump wanted a personal favour for that same aid?

I stand by my statement. It is a word I REALLY do not like and almost never use. But, again, I stand by my statement.

The point was that trump doing it in a hissy fit allowed putin to do the same, rejoining means nothing as putin already had gotten the excuse and trump played straight into his hands.

Similar to trump releasing all the taliban leaders allowing them to regroup before the Afghani government was running security.

trump supports putins actions, do you support trump still?

A Hill opinion piece that maybe, just maybe, the GQP are backing away from the #2xIMPOTUS. Personally, I believe they'll prostitute themselves for the money and the votes wherever they are, much like the Democratic party, but maybe something's changing.

Could he not be the nominee?

Then the Republican vote could be split.

    Anyway, it’s way too early.

Of course he could not be the Nominee. I'm expecting it to be DeSantis (DeathSentence) and Noem (Deep South, upper Midwest.) Slicker than the #2xIMPOTUS, younger, ticks all the GQP boxes especially Noem.

They, GOP, are certainly looking at the possibility of moving on. They are trying to do it without actually commiting either way.

IMO, they will fail to take the decision that needs to be made. They have been shown time and again to always take the cowardly route rather than stand up to Trump.

So, in the end Trump will be the one to decide. And he already has. The only reason he hasn't officially declared is campaign funding regs means he would have to actually account for the donations

What a trio of deplorable people.

    Republicans will love them.

In that another episode of "Accuse others of that which you yourself are guilty", Mark Meadows, Trumps last chief of staff is being investigated for potential voter fraud.

Basically, when he got the Trump gig he sold his house in North Carolina and moved to DC, but he continued to vote back home using the address of a mobile home he was renting but never actually ever lived there, which is a breach of the rules.

I wonder how credible this source is. I believe it too easily

So, there are a sh1tload of questions about his finances, why he sucks up to Putin and why he looked like a whipped dog in Helsinki.

All trump had to do was show his finances and taxes, as he claimed he would, after he got elected, and he didn't.

Furthermore, when he became president, he parroted Putin's talking points and worked to an agenda that suited Russia.

tldr - a sh1tload of smoke and Trump took no steps to explain any of it. Instead he asked people to believe him. Those that saw the thousands of lies said - nope! His followers blindly did and continue to do so.

It was shared by democracy now too , so it's dubious, however its no doubt about shady Russian money being laundered by trump Inc, so that could count as being an asset

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 86,683 ✭✭✭✭Overheal

Depends on how they define an asset. In the best circumstances, Trump was not a witting asset, but an asset nonetheless, given how easily manipulable he is as long as you fondle his ego's massive balls.

Wouldn't place must faith in it.

I don't think he is a Russian agent. Well, I don't think he has anything against working with whomever he thinks he can get the most from.

He is all about him, he wouldn't even see it as passing info, just making himself feel powerful.

Look at the example of when he gave Intel to Russia about Israel. He did that purely to make himself feel important.

And his secret meeting with Putin. Clearly he was played by Ourin, but he thinks he is smarter than everyone so was trying to prove a point.

A useless idiot rather than an agent.

The GOP just need to step back as the Biden administration continue to stink the place up. The approval ratings are terrible on all key performance metrics. There is no need, at this stage, to alienate the Trump or traditional base by choosing a side. The GOP will likely take back the house and senate this year. Although the Democrats excessive gerrymandering in New York makes the former more difficult.

I doubt very much that he’s been a Russian agent for 40 years. I mean let’s not forget that the Russians actively tried to help trump it was only because they trump campaign was too incompetent to take their help that they didn’t commit a crime.

We also have the midtown Manhattan Mensa co chairs in Eric and Don jr saying on the record that they get most of their money from Russia from a few years ago.

There was as mentioned the incident in the Oval Office with the Russians where he told them classified info. When he spoke at the press conference in Helsinki, he said that Putin was very strong in his denial of interfering in the 2016. The strength was the main thing.

Stinking up the place? How? What are they doing that is so against the wishes of the public?

But regardless, the GOP still need a candidate for 2024. They could, and should, have moved on from Trump following his election loss but even more so after his performance before, during and since the capital riot.

But they missed that opportunity. It appears now that they are looking to examine the possibility of moving on.

If, as you say, Biden and the Dems are toast regardless, thats an even bigger reason to move on and get someone in that would potentially reset the party and get a possible 2 terms

Are they much worse than Trump after his first year?

The GOP should really take all Campaign funds away from Trump and whatever other orgs like Maga he also uses to raise funds, they just end up supporting Trump Inc., one way or the other.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,021 ✭✭✭✭duploelabs

He doesn't use any campaign funding because he hasn't declared yet, nor will he declare until as late as he can because campaign funds are heavily audited (see the stormy Daniel's cheques that claimed Michael Cohen). Hell claim he's fundraising to 'save america' because he can just pocket the cash himself.

    It's all a grift

There are a lot of useful fools in America who cannot see past their own ego and love of money. Contrarians easily manipulated into pushing a line that runs parallel of Kremlin propaganda. All you had to do was give them a show or regular guest spot on Russia Today and suddenly they think Russia is simply misunderstood.

Clarence Thomas was admitted to the hospital two nights ago with flu-like symptoms, the court said in a press release. He expects to be released "in a day or two."

Add to that, the habit he has of not even covering the costs of the rallies themselves. There's plenty of towns and cities around the southern states that Trump still owes large amounts of cash to for previous rallies...possibly even going back to 2016. The funds are clearly for his own pocket. He even wants supporters to fund a replacement for his now decrepit 757 Trump jet that's stilling idle somewhere in New York state.

Reports are he doesn't have Covid, and is being treated with intravenous antibiotics. I think it's just 'he got sick, he's old, not too healthy to begin with' and he's ended up in a US hospital. Interestingly, in the era of Zoom, apparently now Thomas speaks up during oral arguments and asks good questions.

Without going all CT forum about it , might this give Thomas the "exit" opportunity he might need given the scrutiny that the actions/behaviours of his wife are now under - Attendance at the Jan 6th rally etc. etc.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2, Paid Member Posts: 15,460 ✭✭✭✭Igotadose

Thomas is arrogant as the day is long. He's leaving the USSC feet first. The wife could be in solitary in Leavenworth and Clarence won't give up his post.

Would he do so knowing he'd be giving the nomination to the Dems? I'd say he'd be happy enough to try weather the criticisms he and his wife face, and hold on until after the next election (or near it depending on if the GOP take the Senate and Mitch can dig his heels in on a nominee like under Obama) to try keep the SC slanted towards Conservatives.
