One thing to check is the cost to have it shipped from wherever you buy it. Last time I bought a pistol from Germany, I ended up paying €400 for shipping, tax, vat on the shipping etc. Pistol only cost €390. Be sure to check this first!!

The longest delay was of course here with An post/Customs being their usual awkward selves in clearing the package.

I'm looking at the Ruger Mk IV lite or Tactical. Looks, simplicity to clean and online reviews seem to indicate it's a good choice.
