Are you running Solis inverters? Mine was 12:33.

I am. This has happened to me a couple of times when the inverter is on full output and generally around the same time with the same dip, give or take.

Were you exporting during this time?

A lot? Worth having a gander at the voltage next time.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 766 ✭✭✭Bif

Yeah. Everything full and I was gone in the car for a while. Will try and check voltage.

Cracking day yesterday at 45.2kWh, 23.7 to Zappi and 3.7 to Eddi and thankfully at home to make the most of it with washing, power washing and with the length of the day being able to get the dinner on 😀

Today looking like another cracker so could be topping 500kWh for the month so far, projection is for 591 so looking ahead of schedule.

you'll soon get used to the export on these good days!.

On track for a perfect march curve today, Although the SW panels passed the NE at about 10:15 am!

    image.png

I'll prob not pass 4.5kw today as the sun isnt high enough yet. On track for about 30kwh,My predictor is saying 30 too.

    Short dip again at 12.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,890 ✭✭✭✭DrPhilG

No dip here. A rare perfect curve for me so far.

Charging the car at a reduced rate currently to slow down the home battery fill as we have to go out later.

So far have 4kWh each into the house battery and car battery and herself is washing clothes left, right and centre.

A serious drop off on the east 12 panel Pvs.

Rethinking that I maybe should off having just 6 on the east and the other 6 on the west (with the other 12).

I am I over thinking it...

No its not smart unfortunately. Have been turning it on manually when home but away 2 days over this bank holiday with sun shinning so exporting loads.

  • Moderators, Home & Garden Moderators Posts: 7,017 Mod ✭✭✭✭graememk

You have 12 east and 12 west?

Remember this is only march too. And the west didn't really get going until 10?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 563 ✭✭✭The devils

    That's right 👍 12 each side.

The east side was hindered with trees from neighbours garden. They got cut down today so maybe that will help also.

And your right , it is only March 🙈

    Cheers

You'll not see finer curves than this unless Kate Upton walks by...

    Screenshot_20220319-183345_Solis Home.jpg Screenshot_20220319-183435_SolisCloud.jpg

Battery now at 92%. Zero grid purchase today, only 0.8kWh yesterday. With a bit of management I'll not buy a cent worth for most of next week.

Almost 5 years now …energy dependency has changed a lot in that time ..

I know 👍👍 glad to hear it's going well for you ☘☘

Kate Upton curves. Yup can't fault you on that. :-)

    image.png

Have to figure out how to boost the east with 1-2 more panels somehow. The west array does get skuppered with the trees across the road at 4pm.

Finished the day with 27.9kWh. A better curve compared to yesterday, only a slight wobble at about 17:30. However, it was interesting to see the effect of heat on production. Today was a much better day weather wise but production was only 0.2kWh higher than yesterday.

Managed to use all of it too, with only 0.5kWh exported. Dumped nearly 10kWh into an oil radiator to keep the north facing side of the house toasty.

Battery still at 65% and forecast good again for tomorrow so have disabled timed charging (well, charge rate is 0A, so effectively was just saving battery for day rate) and will ride through until morning on battery. First time this year.

Another record day 44.1 KW on the 7.8kw panels. Export high as usual, but only had to import 8kw or 24% today. Kids eat the battery up in no time.

Another day totally off-grid, with battery getting me right through the night

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,666 ✭✭✭ECO_Mental

I see all ye guys posting on here perfect curves but although I have been putting in good numbers over the past week I have been getting cloudy patches that is holding me back from some serious production over the last week. The PVGIS-SARAH estimate for the month is 514kWh so I think I will bust through that no probs considering I'm at 410 kWh and 12 days left in the month.

Curses, weather turned today. I'll still probably get about 12kWh which is above last year's March average, but it'll not get me through to the morning.

Currently on 10.3kWh and the battery is at 67%.
