Green party led policies are improving this country.

    Unfortunately the last thread with this title was shut down within 10mins as the op didn't give an opinion. (Eventhough you can deduce everything from the title) Anyhows...

    This is a thread for those of a positive outlook towards the majority of green party policies. Not an echo chamber of "sandal wearing loonies" but rather not an echo chamber of green bashers. That said some constructive criticism towards green policies is more than welcome.

    I'll kick things off.

    Green party policy number 1: A marked increase (up to 10k hectares p.a.) in forestry planting and of that, a marked increase in broadleafs and indigenous species. This would benefit economically (less imports of wood, processing jobs, byproducts etc) but also socially for recreation and leisure, and of course for habitat for species already under pressure. Also of course helping us to achieve our climate targets.
