TV & Blinds Privacy - any ideas welcome!

    Hi Everyone

My partner and I bought a house on a main road and we are in the process of doing it up.

We have a very small (and dark) sitting room and to make more space we are thinking of mounting our TV on a wall.

The wall that makes most sense is the one that faces our main window (the one that passers by can see into).

The problem is that I don't want everyone walking past to see my TV (and know when I'm in or out).

If I get venetian blinds I'd have to have them closed all day so instead - I would love to have something that offers me the privacy I need but will let light in.

All ideas and suggestions are welcome! Thanks!

Day and night roller blinds might work? Ive been looking at them and that might do the trick although hard to know if it will prevent people seeing what you are watching on TV during the day

My son used privacy film on his windows and it's very effective and looks good. The link below is for a UK company, I posted it because they have some great ideas. There are Irish companies doing it too. My son bought the film and did it himself, he said it was easy enough to do.

That sounds like a good idea, much better option than the old net curtains.
