My bristling impatience for Jared Leto means as interesting as this looks (knowing of the hubris of WeWork), Leto is a big blocker. Less prosthetics than usual, but still looks a very affected performance.

Early reviews indicate this is a disappointing effort. As a result it's fallen way down the pecking order in my watch list.

Yeah, I think he is channelling Gyllenhall in Nightcrawler. I enjoyed the first episode even though the two main characters are big phonies. It's fun to watch them scramble around NY, knowing that in real life their outlandish dreams came true but then turned to dust.

Anne Hathaway is excellent as an egotistical, fragile wannabe. Streaming services have captured Hollywood's elite but very often the big names seem to overwhelm the project whereas it makes sense to have star power.

Watched the last episode last night. Really enjoyed it because it makes the crazy WeWork story credible.

I still think it was a Ponzi scheme but Leto and Hathaway are convincing as the Neumanns and have a real chemistry which drives them to ever-greater excesses. Why investors fell for it is beyond me but it is fun to watch.
