I un-bookmarked threads but am still getting notification emails for them.

– Coronavirus (COVID-19)

Do you know what the issue is? Can this be fixed?

If you go to your notifications page, is it unticked there too?

Click the Notifications bell icon, then click the little slider icon to the right that looks like an abacus. You should be brought to the page where you can change these options.

Hi Shield. Sorry for the late reply. On https://www.boards.ie/profile/preferences/Worztron, the email box was unchecked for the 'Coronavirus (COVID-19)' category. However, when I went to https://www.boards.ie/categories/coronavirus-covid-19, the Follow bell was blue. It's now white. It's not the clearest of systems.

Edit: I just noticed at the top right corner, the icon to check to bookmark a thread is clear. However at the end of the page, there's a 'Bookmark this discussion' box that's checked. It won't stay unchecked when I leave the page. Surely this is duplication? It seems that I must first post a comment to get that box to remain unchecked? What a mess.

No, the icon at the top right is the indicator that tells you whether or not the discussion is bookmarked. The "Bookmark this discussion" checkbox only applies when posting a comment - you automatically bookmark a discussion when posting unless you clear it. A more verbose version of it would read "Bookmark this discussion when I submit my comment". If you're not posting a comment, it has no effect.

If you've been leaving it checked every time you post in the discussion, then you've been re-bookmarking it each time.

Those 2 threads I mentioned in my first post -- I'm still getting email notifications even though the rectangle icon with a triangle shape cut out from the end is clear on both. 🤔
