For someone with a bad credit rating and many missed payments to an Irish Bank who is about to pay off their outstanding balance in full is there anything to be done that could help with the credit rating?

Beyond ensuring that the debt is correctly registered in the CCR, the settlement of the debt is acknowledged on the CCR and the debt entry is removed as set out in the law not really.
