    Overnight low of -3.8c in south Laois. A -8.0c grass frost beneath that. Mostly clear and sunny now and 8c.

    Looking at the radar, there looks to be very heavy to torrential rain in east Wexford. Can anyone confirm that this is the case. Don't think such intense rainfall was forecast for Ireland.

    Pleasant early spring morning in Trim, Meath and in west Dublin city however it has clouded over a lot in the past hour or so. in no way warm or even mild but can't complain for the time of year.

    Yeah, about 1cm on the ground near Clonmel where I am (not up the mountains, close to sea level). Heavy rain this morning turned to sleet, then to snow, and it's been snowing persistently for the past three hours, and only really started to stick to the ground in the past hour. Very surprised to see it.
