I've been enjoying it on PS5, glad I held-off playing it until now.

On launch, I'd play for about 40 minutes and my ps5 would crash. When i powered ot back on, i couldn't even be bothered playing it again. After this happened about 7 times, i decided to uninstall the game and edit for next gen. Even when it was working, i just had no will to progress the game. Now I'm peeling myself away between 1 and 2am to go to bed. Haven't done that with a game in quite some time, some turn around for a game largely the same but enough small differences to completely change my view of it.

Only completed it recently but downloaded it again for the patch but ended up starting a new game because there is something about this game world I can’t pull myself away from. The game isn’t perfect neither is the world itself CDRP have created, but I get the itch to play it which I haven’t in awhile with gaming.

snapping the trophies didn’t carry over so definitely gonna try go for the platinum in this play through. Annoys me I was only 3 short.

I decided to download the trial. I'll give it a lash tonight and see what I think.

I played a couple of hours. Did the intro and the first mission, just left my apartment to meet the Mexican guy. I didn't pay any attention to stats or my character, I just jumped straight in.

It seems pretty good but it's hard to judge this early. I'm 50/50 on whether to buy it.

I played it for the first time over the weekend. Didn’t like it, found the shooting poor, movement’s too fast /jerky

didn’t see any bugs apart from some guy I met walked through his car

dont think it’s a bad game , just not for me with the controls and shooting not being great

I was going to finally pull the trigger, but I think I can wait longer now. Maybe for a definitive version with all the upcoming improvements and additions, like the GOTY Witcher 3. With DL2 currently in progress (and takes a long time), HFW then, and Sifu, not to mention GT7 and whatever else is coming, I've held off this long, I can wait longer. But the want is definitely there, so I could potentially just buy it at the end of the month when I'm paid.

Ps5 controls were pretty atrocious out of the box for me anyway. Took a lot of tweaking and some Reddit posts to get it sorted - not 100%, but a lot better

City is definitley more "alive" than when I completed it (Dec 2020)

Did a few missions with a new character it runs a lot better, RTX seems to work now.

No chance I am replaying it all tho, its get very samey very quickly unlikely the story or side missions have changed much.

Went back in after the Playstation 5 upgrade and it's a lot of fun. My latest character was a netrunner build and it's gas how OP it is. If you have a good cyberdeck and epic level quickhacks you can absolutely destroy an building full of enemies while casually strolling around.

Upgrade looks good, but the game is still very janky, particularly with NPC animations, but with that all being said I still love the game, purely for the atmosphere, art design and 'vibes'. About the finish the game for the 3rd time!

I thought the game was a little janky, even on Series X. I dunno, I'm tempted for €35, I did enjoy what I played of it.

Even if people don't have the next gen versions the 1.5 patch did a huge amount to the game.

For my Corpo character, I focused mostly on stealth and intelligence because I view Corpo V as a kind've spy/assassin type of character, so sneaking into buildings, using sneaky takedowns on guards, hacking computers, and turning off security systems is the kind of thing I was doing as Corpo V. Also as Corpo V I was a lot more diplomatic when it came to negotiating with people.

My Nomad V was more focused on body and reflexes because I view Nomad as a kind've rough and tumble character who embraces the Outlaw lifestyle. So a strong fighter who is possibly a war veteran, and is always ready for a fight.

And my Street Kid V is kind've balanced out. Growing up on the streets taught V how to survive so Street Kid V would be skilled in different areas, where survival was necessary. So body, reflexes, intelligence, technical ability, and Cool are all focused on. My Street Kid V also has little patience for people who get his bad side.

All My Vs have an honourable side to them though. They only kill when necessary or in self-defense and usually spare people when they have the option to kill them or let them live.

Is there really much in the way of story choice and different outcomes? I've only played a couple of hours of the trial, and the beginning really guides you with a firm hand.

If you're given a mission and just follow the objectives you'll get a mission complete but it might not be all there was to it but it usually doesn't say anything. Even the optional objectives are only the obvious ones.

If in another game you're asked to find a missing person by their sister then it'll likely sign post it for you that she wasn't who she said see was, but in this you never get told unless you look in the right place. You'll just get a mission complete all the while she's a corpo interrogator about to cut bits off the guy.

Even gameplay stuff I only tend to see alternative after the fact.

Just noticed that the Voice Actors for Male V and Saul are both Irish.

Sounds crazy to say but I wish Elden Ring released a few weeks later. I was really enjoying my time with Cyberpunk but nothings gonna get a look in with ER. I might actually sneak in a few games of it here and there, honestly didn't see myself wanting to play it that much.

I'm playing on PC using an Xbox One controller. What would people suggest as the shooting suggestions as I find it unplayable with a controler. I liked doom 2016 shooting for example with a controller.

I played it briefly on Xbox Series X, and I thought the X/Y sensitivity was too high.

Just finished my 4th and final playthrough last night in the span of a month. I know its crazy but I just kept replaying the game over and over again. Is that weird?

I kept on thinking the last playthrough would be my final one but I kept restarting because I wanted the four different endings, and also to play with the three lifepaths with different genders. In the end, I played as Female Corpo twice, and Male Nomad and Street Kid. At least it gave me the excuse to do certain missions differently than the previous games.

I probably won't play it again for another long while, but even now I'm kind've looking forward to playing it again. It is a great game.

For my final playthrough, I went with the Rebel Path ending and had Johnny merge with Alt Cunningham so V could have his body back. It feels like this ending was the real culmination of all I went through in all four games. Johnny gets his revenge on Adam Smasher and Arasaka but sticks to his word and gives V back his body. I think the idea of merging Johnny with Alt makes sense as well because it feels kind've poetic. Apparently, V can't be saved but at least giving him a chance to live out the rest of his days in somewhat peace is a better outcome. He fulfilled his goal to become a Night City legend and became the owner of Afterlife and the top fixer in the city so V pretty much did achieve what he set out to do.

As far as the four endings are concerned. My favorites were The Rebel Path and Nomad ending, but it really comes down to a choice between Saul and Rogue for me. Which one do you sacrifice? The Nomad ending strikes me as a happier ending for V if you romance Panam but then you'd have to sacrifice Saul to Adam Smasher, while the Rebel Path feels like the canon ending for Johnny but you'd have to sacrifice Rogue. The ending where you make a deal with Arasaka feels like the canon ending for Corpo V but there's a feeling of emptiness afterward due to your isolation in the Space Station. The suicide ending I think was the worst of the endings if only because it didn't sit right with me, although since I chose it for my first playthrough I consider it to be a bit of a write-off now. That's how I look at the four endings anyway.

Something that annoyed me is how easily you can miss mods and cyberware from all the different shops.

They need cyberpunk ebay, even if you've still to go into get the mods installed.

Only found out there was a cloak shoulder mod last night.

An interesting way to play Cyberpunk, a more immersive experience. I might give this a try next time I play the game.

Got a pair of quest bugged as fixer wouldn't call when I approached so nothing right happened when I entered and another didn't show on map.

Had to find a old save and redo 1/3 of the missions in badlands and Panam's last mission (turns out I didn't) to get trophy for Badlands. One of the missions in Rancho under overpass counted as badlands so was looking for that for a while. Went back to normal save after as I was much longer into the game.

Also had a NCPD missing but turns out this was a common one that sometimes the map icon doesn't show for one in santo domingo so saw a post and went to point and it was there and worked.

The wait for it to be made was torturous enough, now the wait for news of the expansions is another ever grinding wait, basically the same. If they are going to release an expansion for the summer, then there will have to be some pre-promotion this month.

I got this when it was half price after the last update, I haven't started a proper run of it yet as I'm playing other things, I just played the intro and decided to ignore the quests for now and wander around the city, as I often do with open world games.

Something that strikes me is while the city is really something to behold in terms of detail, what it really lacks is interactivity (as far as I've experienced). You see all these cool noodle bars, shops and stuff but you can't buy anything or interact with them. You see lots of seats, but you can't sit in any of them, etc. The NPCs don't really do much and their environment interaction is often disconnected from where they are located.

I think it's a shame that there isn't more to do (outside of quests). I think it's the little details that makes a world more immersive. Hopefully future updates might include stuff like that. There's a lot to be said for things that make you feel like just another person in a city.

    • Fixed an issue where an Assault in Progress in Arroyo wasn't visible on the map, hindering progress in The Jungle achievement.

That one got me but thankfully someone else told me it was still there even if it wasn't showing on map.

    • Added a quest tag to fixer rewards when they're first found in the stash.

Literally every time I've to google what the reward is to find it in my stash.

Finally gone back to this since finishing Elden Ring. I can't remember but did something happen the gore? No blood from enemies but they can be decapitated and lie in a pool of blood. Looks very weird attacking humans with a katana and there being sparks instead of blood, same with shotgun blasts, very immersion breaking.
