layman's term of a ventilated home

    Wondering if anyone can help.

    We got our home insulated this week and when the guy that works for the company came to fill out the forms for SEAI grant he was wondering why we only had a vent in the sitting room. So it turns out ( our lack of knowledge) we got our windows replaced last year, previous windows had trinkle vents but the new ones didn't. I called to window company to advise, so waiting to see what they come back with. He agreed to sign off and I will get vents before applying for grant.

    What s the regulations with vents? do all rooms need one? also, what regulation would i fall under? house was built in 2007 (walls,windows and doors is as far as they got) but left as a ghost estate until 2017 when we bought.

    if it makes a difference, it is an oil heating system, no fireplace (replaced with electric fire)

    does extractor fan in bathrooms & Kitchen count? (kitchen hob/oven is electric)

    If needed what is the best option, adding trinkle vents to windows or vent in the wall
