Main act start times (generally!)

Its been so long since ive been to a gig and wonder if there is a general start time. So im going to gig in the button factory tonight. its listed as being between 7.30pm and 10.30pm. But i wont get there till about 9pm so wondering if this too late to catch them at the start.

Doors I supposed open at 7.30 - 8.00 and act might start at 9 or 9.30 PM is the usual way I think. If there's a support act maybe 8.30 for them.

Usually the promoters are helpful and also the band - check their twitter a/c for info. With some venues there can be a club night afterwards that can impact start times. 9 should be okay.

yeah first time back for me. my music tastes meant i preferred the support act. agree thought it was a brilliant night. found the crowd quite mature, have all the young people gone off the 4 piece drums, base and guitar i wonder. i like the button factory as a venue. i booked Squid there for May. check them out. tks again for posting those times which were very accurate. want to share who else you are going to see?

I'm booked in for Big Thief, Sprints, Yard Act, the Delines, Public Service Broadcasting, Frames, Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever, Idles, Fontaines, Pixies in the coming months. Great to be looking forward to something every couple of weeks.
