Has anyone got any pocket friendly alternatives to Angostura bitters as an ingredient for long drinks?

It was cheaper pre MUP... its not a direct replacement as you need to use a lot more. I used it more as a replacement for both bitters and cointreau / triple sec.

    Own brand brandy or cognac

Lots of Orange Peel (2-3 Oranges)

    Fill into a 250ml - 330ml glass bottle

    Keep in the fridge

After 48 hours give it a try

I got a bottle of Peychaud's Bitters in O'Briens recently.

    It was cheaper than Angostura.

It's never on their site, but I think they tend to have it behind the counter.

Considering how much AB one would typically use, is it really that expensive?

Anyone recommend best place to buy some online

Not exactly expensive given how long a bottle lasts

Only just recently realised they are alcoholic
