Driving Licence overdue

Just realised my driving licence was due for renewal 02/Feb/2022 (don't think I got a Covid extension). I didn't receive a renewal notice and tried to pay online just now without success. Where do I go from here? I would appreciate any helpful replies. Thanks

After Hours, that’s always the first stop for driving license renewal. Second step is the NDLS.

They are extended by 10 months. Mine expired may 2021 but is valid until March 2022 now. I renewed last week. You won't be able to renew until about October as your licence is valid until December 2022 now. Go on ndls website, it's all there.

Appointment with the nearest NDLS centre is probably the next step.

Thanks for the info Fighting Tao. Will make an appointment but I'm fairly disappointed that I receive auto alerts for crap but don't get them for stuff that matters.

I renewed mine online with my mygov account, or whatever it's called. It wasn't expired though, it was a change of address. I got the new one within five days - I think I had to upload a photo too although that may have been for something else.

Not looking for sympathy in after hours as I won't get any, 😂😂😂 but for information and as a warning to others, I just lost a fair amount of money and was majorly inconvenienced by this.

Recently arrived at a Spanish car hire desk and they refused to allow me take the car I had hired. As as far as they were concerned, my licence was out of date.

While the staff at the desk were courteous enough. They weren't interested in letters from the NDLS.

No valid up to date licence - No car.

Driving licences expiring in 2022 were not extended. Mine was due for renewal on 4th January 2022, no extension was applied and I renewed it in October 2021 online.

OP should try renewing online using MygovId.

Ring Citizens Information Centre first thing Monday morning (well, 10am) 0818076510 and have your licence and PPSN handy. They’ll sort you out to get your licence renewed.

Just 5 days , they're saying 3 weeks on the letter, does it not take that long ?

Mine expires a few days , I don't know if I can continue driving or not while im waiting
