there is a button to manually save a draft comment if you wish to. removing the automatic save and keeping the Save Draft button was what was voted on. After the vote Niamh decided to do something else. It was a waste a time and it made clear that the wishes of users are very low priority.

Is the multiple clicking to get rid of notifications just the way it is now ?

I was reading a thread/post/discussion on mobile just now and received notification at the bottom of the screen of a new post elsewhere, so I click on it and read it. But still a bright red button to be clicked at the top to acknowledge I've read the post.

This is what I'm getting on ads now that the height has doubled. No ads half the time but the box blocks things like "comments" when I'm looking at someone's profile. I can click on discussions but not comments.

While I'm typing this the word "Advertisement" pops up at the bottom of the quote box every ten seconds or so and disappears in a millisecond.

Why are you refusing to accept the results of the poll about turning off the auto-save? If people want to save their drafts, there is a perfectly good Save Draft button available to them. How come you won't give people who don't want their drafts saved a delete button too? Instead, they are forced to go in search of the delete draft. It really is not good enough.

Are reports just not being acted upon anymore?

I know there were difficulties with mod tools etc. and Beasty was carrying the load in various fora but even he seems to have packed it in and I couldn't blame him.

So can I just clarify...what is the position as regards moderators, reports and mod tools?

If we have to suffer my biggest bugbear (Bookmark this discussion being automatically checked) then I'm guessing we'll have to suffer autosave drafts. New boards is just not so user friendly

Unfortunately some mods have given up while others remain on the site but aren't active and I can't blame them. Mods are no longer notified about reported posts and the only way they would be aware of the reports is to search for them but most couldn't be bothered.

The biggest problem for mods is the lack of mod tools. Despite repeated promises over the last 9 months there is still very, very little to work with.

I can confirm that Beasty is still active.

Vanillas #1 technique to increase Boards aversion (and make you dizzy in the process):

1-Click on any Boards thread

2-Vanilla takes you to a random page in middle of thread and no matter how much you try to scroll down, Vanilla immediately scrolls back to the top of the page, repeatedly.

3- You must give up, close tab and close eyes to stop the Vertigo
