Ah; the penny's starting to drop now.

Joe's finally getting a glimmer of what the set-up is.

Will he follow through and get to the meat of the matter?

His members will be fuming about him blowing their cash on rubbish ads.

It used to sit in the canteen in work. It's just a glossy magazine with pictures of smily people in suits, a la the feature supplements you see in the broadsheet papers. Real harmless backpattery stuff.

we got phone calls about putting our company profile in a construction magazine, for a hefty sum. Told them had no interest, they were persistent and got a bit aggressive when I continued to say no. Mentioning all the contacts they had etc etc

No Joe, RTÉ doesn’t verify if taxpayers money is well spent.

"Is there anybody alive out there", Bruce Springsteen.

All listeners gone into a coma listening to that waffle since 1.45pm.

"Show stories inside" - that would be a big zero.

    thepublicsector.org/

That would be a big front wall with nobody allowed in. Rebuilding the website, my arse.

I've honestly no issue with the "winners" forking out on advertising for the sake of getting themselves a bit of promotion and positive PR. Unfortunately Eir fecked it up for everyone.

Absolutely, but this is nothing knew, publications pretending to be affliated with an organisation and riding people looking for business to advertise, lots of trade mags do this, indeed the glossy girly mags do pages on products etc (not that I buy girly mags so to speak) 😁

The indo even does it, a feature supposedly on a celeb, doesn't take long to realise the feature s actually advertising the celebs latest hair brained idea.

Their server is **** down “for maintenance”. This maintenance will last as long as Joe tries to hack them.

Because they've got nothing to say. In response to a charge that the magazine is nothing more than an advertising generator the publisher has lucked into a sector that was previously untapped, all he/she could do is waffle, and I doubt he's daft enough to come onto this shyt show.

John Hogan - stay schtum, let this blowhard blow himself out and it will be yesterday's news.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 27,199 ✭✭✭✭Dempo1

It seems this is more about taxpayers money being wasted, is Joe going to hand back the 400k from the past year paid to him utterlyb dreadful programming 😕
