Job hunter. looking to connect with people in Co. Clare

Hello all in Co. Clare

(Newbie to Boards.ie).

I've partially (~70%) relocated to Clare last year. Now that the restrictions have eased I'm trying to complete the move with a suitable job change. Plenty of vacancies on Indeed.ie etc, but I'm having trouble getting interviews. (Technical Engineering background with good experience in Healthcare & Automation).

Looking to connect with anyone working in Clare, whose company may operate a referral scheme.

If you're having trouble getting interviews, then may be no harm to review your CV / Coverpage. Assuming that's all good, then I couldn't offer more advice than what you're doing. Check the job sites, maybe check linkedin to see if you have a contact somewhere.

You're welcome to post in the Clare forum, you might find a bit more local knowledge.

I tend to tailor the CV to each job . Alot of automated response emails alright, but little to no followups.

I suggest you make contact with Joe Robbins of Careerwise, he is pretty much the go to guy for tecchie jobs in Clare.

not that I know of.

Beckman coulter do have a pretty well developed online application portal. Although I'm forming the opinion that your only chance of getting your CV read is through employee referral. Applied for a few jobs here that were a near perfect match to my own profile & background. The usual feedback is .... not proceeding with your application at this time and/or the job may have been cancelled!

Sometimes I wonder if BC aren't just building a massive talent database!

Anyhow, the search goes on .......
