What's the difference with Low Availability with a red or yellow dot, and sold out on Ticketmaster?

Once a gigs gone to Low Availability I never seem to be able to get tickets no matter what filters I apply - does it just mean sold out?

Yep it seems to, sometimes low availability (the yellow dot) switches to limited availability (red dot) and there's still no tickets available.

I'm not sure why they can't just say 'no availability' instead!

I’ve gotten single tickets when it says low availability.

More common for all seated gigs, there can be several singles available, but won’t come up, with a quantity of 2 or more.

@fafy Any time I've checked when it says low or limited they don't even have single tickets.
