Seai grants

    We're currently building a large extension to a small property. Windows going in next week.

    Spoke with architect about seai grants, discussed when pricing originally and the builder said he would sort then out as the supplier does it on his behalf and he claims it at source and passes savings on to us.

    Spoke to seai today who advised me we need to apply before any works have commenced

    I've been told I could get it retrospectively.

    Does anyone have experience of this

    It states you have to get a grant offer before any work can commence other wise you won't get the grant money.

    SEAI very strict on this, I have to agree. They required a lot of photos of the install at various stages of installation. Be quite hard to take a photo of the rails supporting the panels after they go in as an example
