I think its a very interesting list. We've heard plenty from Cody's Kilkenny/ Mickey Harte's Tyrone - the 'great' teams of the recent past. This is different. I know MDMA is from a recent 'great' team, but for me he is one of the most interesting characters in GAA in his own right.

Sure, if it makes for a good story then definately i want to see what made them the player/person they are. if all you want to do is recognise greatness watch the allstars.

I love the series but I'm always surprised about the players who never got an episode, maybe it's a personal thing for some and they have no interest

From a Waterford point of view, Tony Browne is a man who is a tailor made for a episode. Brick Walsh another one

This is a brilliant programme, since they made them an hour long the quality has been outstanding. Sure, they're more about personalities now, but that works very well.

Didn't really like the mdma programme, but the sambo and joe quaid ones were very good. The Sue Ramsbottom episode wasn't bad either.

I just watched The Kieran Fitzgerald Laochra Gael there. A powerful, touching story. Fitzy was a giant for his club and county on the field and remains a true gent off it. As a Galway man I have to say well done Fitzy, proud of you.

Brilliant series all round. Understated and elegantly produced. The producers are able to mix the sporting achievements with personal issues/growth without over egging either. We also take camera work for granted these days but Laochra Gael does it so well.

Sambo's episode was truly inspirational. His story illustrates the awfulness of what passed for 'education' and one could only be impressed by his resilience in the face of appalling brutality and institutional abuse.

Tonight in a simpler, though very different story, Kieran Fitzgerald comes across as a wonderful man as well as a super footballer.

Twenty one seasons of LG is one of the mighty achievements of TnaG/TG4.

Another very watchable programme on Johnny mcgurk. It's a great series.

I'd like to see one on an unknown player with an interesting back story. There probably had been and I've missed them as I've only picked up on this series again recently.
