You go with your dad next time. If you are not invited in ask why, ask how the wife is, etc. can you see her, does she know about the death

and I don’t mean in a confrontational way - but in a caring way (which is obvious you have for them) - I couldn’t do it myself as I know I use the wrong time ans it would blow up but many people can

you can talk to the GP too. He obviously won’t tell you private details but will listen to your concern and I’m sure would at least hint whether he is aware of the situation

the parish priest might already have visited them and would be willingly to tell that they are okay or not

Calling the Gardai should be a last resort unless there is local Garda who knows the couple
