Solar kwh production as % of capacity - Winter vs Summer

Just wondering what people are seeing in terms of production in winter vs summer when compared to their potential production capacity. So if I had 12 panels rated at 4kw (which I assume is at 100% efficiency), what is that like in reality Ireland in mid December?

If you really wanted to run a large household on solar all year round, what size system to you really need? Excluding heating.

The site most of us use for prediction is linked below. It's quite accurate. That being said, to cover year round you'll need a lot for winter but way too much in the summer

Even better.!..look at the sticky thread on the top of this forum. The boards users here have entered detailed statistics of their systems on a Google Excel Sheet for sharing including their monthly production for 2021. You should be able to find a system on there that will have the particular needs you are looking for.

Yes the winter months are low production but look at it this way, their is still production. Ireland is not that bad for solar PV
