Hunters are now trying to raise money to fight against this plan. Strangely a lot of people arguing that this ban will undermine the conservation of endangered species.

The wrong end of the stick and a bit far-fetched but basically they want the trophies handed out at Crufts to be made in the UK.

It's one of the main sources of funding for the big nature reserves in Africa.

People who talk about how awful it is, how bad the hunters are, are not the type to commit resources. Talk is very cheap and satisfying

Hunting is a relatively big employer in places like africa. If people dont hunt things like elephants and antelope etc a lot of the wildlife will just get killed by the locals....

Someone hunting an elephant in africa is likely spending 100,000 euro..

But what you forget is that the hunters want to destroy the gene pool. They want to take out the biggest and healthiest male animal.

I'm not sure your argument is very tenable anyway. Even if there is money to be made from this, can we trust that it goes towards the national park like the hunters would want us to believe?

It's pathetic that animals have to sacrificed so useless white tourists can feel like they achieved something. Your allegation that there's an economic benefit is just a weak defence of this appalling carry on.
