I was considering doing that but the cost wouldn't be much different to buying a new one. Was hoping there was someone who maybe has one that they dont use .....
I never was too good with digging lug, I did some impressive "earthworks" for a very small return.
The joints are not as flexible now either, so after years away from fishing, I was wondering if one of the things done by these people would be a good buy.
Is it a simple process? Usually I can master things requiring a small amount of skill and co-ordination, but some common activities such as plastering are beyond me.
Lug pumps seem to come in different sizes to suit the skill of the user I saw on a Youtube demo, it didn''t say why or even what size for a total beginner.
I assumed big pump is for big lugworm, is this not the case?
You need a very specific type of beach for these to be effective in Ireland, I used to sell them and found we just didnt have the correct moisture content in the sand. There is no commercial diggers that I know of in the country using a pump and that says a lot. On the other hand I hear if you bring a bucket and soak the area you are looking to pump it can make life easier. But you will get more worms, and faster with a fork.
