Flat pack raised beds

I may have missed the easy to assemble bit. 😬

Quickcrop.ie have a range of kits for raised beds, at different price ranges / quality. They will deliver anywhere in Ireland.

I have no link to them, but have used them numerous times and found them reliable - particularly on garden hardware.

My only foray into flat pack raised beds was from Clonmel Garden Centre. The had a load of them of which I bought 3 sets for a gift. None of them fit. Not clear whether they had been cut wrong or they had been allowed get wet (which they had, they were stacked outside) but they would not slot together. Plus they were very badly 'packed' and one was broken as it was thrown off the lorry. However they did sort it all and replace them, but it was a nuisance and a lot of messing, we had to wait ages for the new stuff to come in.

I would suggest going with recycled plastic. They would be lighter to handle too. I would also think that at least double height would be better for an elderly person, its still a long way down to a 9" bed. Including soil would be helpful also.

same as got 2 large raised beds took a few hours to build and a day and half to move 2 ton of compost to fill them.
