100% but I think we'll cling on to the masks and certs for a while yet due to our "abundance of caution" approach. Some people won't let go for quite a while either. I suppose after 2 years of constant doom and fear mongering it'll take a bit of time to bring people back to normality.

I don't think it will really take time. If masks are no longer advised people will assume it's fine to go without.

Anyway it's all sounding very positive with the effect Omicron is having on the hospital figures (or not having). Going to be mad to be out the other side of this thing. (touch wood etc!!)

The idea that there are people that enjoy covid restrictions and want them to on go on forever is a fantasty some people created to help them get angry about a situation they don't fully understand and can't accept. A pure textbook coping mechanism.

Thanks. I had quoted this to the hse person but apparently the 7 days only applies from the point at which you isolate from the positive household contact. In mine and like probably every other household contact scenario for young kids it's practically impossible. As there cannot be isolation they said it was 14 days full stop. I find it mental and ridiculously penal for kids and parents in that scenario.

The ironic thing is there are literally others on this thread saying no one wants/loves restrictions but here is Mr Music ignoring the science and continuing to defend this nonsense.
