Watch Repair - Dublin

Hi all,

Apologies if this is somewhere, I can't find anything on the search for the new layout of the site. Could anyone recommend a watch repair in Dublin for me for a Tag which is in good condition but is broken. I took it to watch fix in Dundrum and they were saying €400 minimum for full service, I dont think it is worth more than €1000 so hardly worth it. Could anyone recommend anywhere in Dublin?

Chris of Watchfix.ie/iChrono would be worth a call. Several of us would have dealt with him over the years.

Think Fast Fix is the one is Dundrum.

Also there is Kish jewelers in Powerscourt centre, think he is on the second floor, Tibor is his name, try them for a quote as well

In what way is is it broken ? Movement, sapphire , bracelet etc ?

movement. Had it in a box for a long time and took it out and was careful enough not to overwind but noticed a tiny shard of metal inside the case and the automatic semi dial wouldn’t turn, seemed to be stuck in the movement.

The shard of metal could be a screw that worked loose. I've seen that happen a few times down the years, mostly on automatics and often it's a screw from the automatic part of the mechanism. A mate of mine's Breitling had a similar problem. I took the back off and a screwed the offending item back in. Sorted. I suppose because that's the moving part that is moving the furthest?
