Dutch oven for bread

I prove mine in a basket so have to put the lid of the casserole dish on top of basket and flip it over so the bottom of the bread is on the lid and the casserole dish itself becomes the lid covering the bread, if any of that makes sense. But my casserole ild doesn't have much of a lip on it and that's why Im looking for a better option

Im no expert by any means but I think having a starter culture is the main thing to start off with, there's plenty of ways to do it online, I was lucky enough to get some from a professional baker who makes great sourdough so I try and keep mine alive. If you know someone who bakes sourdough bread you could ask them for some or just ask at a good bakery if they would give you some. This is the recipe I use, it might be too pernickety or too large for some but it's what Ive always used and it makes a great loaf which does the two of us for the best part of a week. But google is your friend and Im sure there's many on here with simpler methods.😊

Yeah, I'm going to give that a try the next time I'm making bread to see if that works, would probably be a lot easier 🤣
