He was fairly young for a pilot, so he must have started collecting Japanese cars when he was in his late teens/early 20s. Must come from a wealthy family to have an interest like that!!

How did he injure his finger? I thought he said it happened in work. Didn't realise being a pilot had those kinds of hazards!

I though that was a good episode. I thought it was a pity the two with injured fingers did not end up as a couple a I thought they were a good match.

The Austrailian Woman must not be as desperate as she pets on.

Delighted for the young lad getting his first date. She could have very easily said no but they both got on well so was nice to see.

    Live long and Prosper

    Peace and long life.

Good episode but didn't grab me as some do.

Glad there's a new bar man. The other guy was unbearable.

Did they not say that pilot lad was a handy man when he was on his way up in the lift? Could be how he injured his finger!

The minute the Aussie spotted Seamus she had no interest. Can't say I blame her. They just didn't clique.

I'm fairly sure that's how I got builder into my head the pilot also.

Uh, I miss Ethan! I think he was a better communicator and bounced of people better. I get it's only been one episode, I hope this new guy settles in more.

At least the old barman was memorable, whether you loved him or hated him. The new guy made zero impression.

The Cork lad seemed spot on I thought and was a good laugh. Cork girl wasn't my cup of tea and the way she reacted when asked if she wanted to see him again was fairly disrespectful. He can do better I think.

Aussie lady and Meath man were a terrible match, both decent souls but very different people. Think they'd both be hard work aswell to be honest.

Geniele seemed nice but the cynic in me thinks she was looking for Insta followers. Pilot was sound but I couldn't follow what he was on about half the time, I dunno were the conversations poorly edited or what. Didn't expect her to say yes so I'm not surprised it went nowhere.

The two young lads were lovely people but I've already forgotten everything about them. Did they even show a single conversation of theirs? Surprised their date didn't end up on the cutting room floor.

I'd bet she would have been 'encouraged' by the production team to get that on the table.

Seamus would have improved his chances if he left the flat cap at home. It added 10-15 years to him.

The new guy was barely there on the first episode. One of the waiters was behind the bar for two of the four couples if I remember correctly. Was a weird introduction for him.

The barman shouldn't be to the forefront, that's why I'm glad they have the new one. He can make some small talk, but we don't end up talking about him all the time. I'm very happy with him so far.

I guess he may have missed a couple of programmes because of 'close contact' or something similar. There's a lot of it about.

The Cork Bird asking the barman if he was a 'manc' - she done well to clock his accent... I didn't detect much of an English accent from the little I heard him speak.. think he's from Brighton.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,500 ✭✭✭Deeper Blue

When she said "Manc" she was asking if he supported Man United.

Among soccer fans an Irish person saying that is considered fairly cringe.

I think they’re talking about the server that was in behind the bar for part of the show. He’s from Brighton

You're not wrong there 😭 "You a 'Manc' !! " 😂 ffs the idiocy, and on national TV too...

Oh right - I didn't think he sounded English.. makes her question all the more dumb so... Idiots calling Irish Man Utd supporters 'Mancs' 😏

Why oh whoy do they have to overlap it it with the C4 UK version? Again...was it same last season(s)? Everything starts back same day same time.

RTE Player – wow over-18s only! Language? [Update: ah, the Cork couple, so]

“This is where hopes, desires and dreams ...” Go to die?

“Mother of Divine God ...” Next episode looks possibly entertaining

Thought I saw a subtle grimace, all right – daters should try to remember they're under camera at all times 😶

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,747 ✭✭✭Man Vs ManUre

But her comment was about football not his accent. It’s a Lpool vs ManUre thing, it’s common to just say “you’re a Manc” to a ManUre fan regardless where they from.

Still grates, regardless of how the slang is used.. can't be having this 'manc' craic/crap meself 😋 "You a red?" - mebbe summit like that, but a manc is from Manchester.. An Irish Man U fan - not the case,,,,,,

She didn't go overboard protesting and insisting to pay her share when he said he would pay for the meal though

    Enjoyable first episode.

I much prefer the Irish version now to the UK one. The people seem a bit more normal.

Young gay couple were very sound, intelligent, nice match. I wish I had their confidence at that age! They both seemed so comfortable in their own skin.

Seamus and the Aussie, you kinda knew she wasn't into him from the start. He would talk the ear anyone, a gentleman

Geniel is stunning (Jennifer Beals in flashdance vibes) her date was very handsome, lovely eyes and seemed like a good guy.

The cork pair, I found it very hard to make out everything they were saying, especially the lad. The blue stain on his lips from the wkd I guess?...lol. She needs to ease off the fake tan, looked a lot better talking to the camera. Girls need to stop it on the drag queen makeup. Both good craic.

Just watching the episode on the player now. Of course 2 gay lads are first up. Are the whole gay community lined up for the show?

First ever date with a lad? Why would you go on TV for a blind date?

Jenny...first thing out of her mouth is "I love sex"...not gonna give off good image for anything serious.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,237 ✭✭✭Pussyhands

Two lads are annoying...those accents. Fcuk me!

"Buy me shots like..." "Like...it's ruined everything like"

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,237 ✭✭✭Pussyhands

Geniele is hot! Some legs on her. Nice eyes and lips too.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,778 ✭✭✭✭MEGA BRO WOLF 5000

Jesus she showed the lips? No wonder there's a warning before the show.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,237 ✭✭✭Pussyhands

Wouldn't have put Shane down as a pilot! "I had 9 or 10 cars worth around 7 or 8 thousand each".....What?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,237 ✭✭✭Pussyhands

    Really poor first episode.

2 lads...too young to be interesting. "like this, like that" and constant laughing.

Seamus and Aussie woman...she was never into him. He was annoying.

2 Cork ones...annoying. 2 annoying Cork people. "weak"...hate when people use their local slang to people not from their area just so they'll be asked what it means.

Geniele and Shane were alright....Shane 100% uses that fire story every time on a woman.

I think he meant he sold them to pay for his training, at least that is what I took from it
