You usually tend to be disingenuous when you ask these kind of questions but I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt here.
A former Love Island contestant, Molly-Mae Hague, made remarks on a podcast about how hard she worked to get where she is and insinuated there's no reason for anyone else to do the same no matter their background.
It was exactly as Doireann said - tone-deaf at worst because she had a bit of a privileged background and doesn't really know what it's like trying to come from nothing and face all the challenges that poorer people or addicts etc have to deal with - but she's faced a massive pile-on for it and some of it very, very personal.
I'll disregard your insult and say I fully agree with Molly Mae. I saw the clip, had no idea she was someone called Molly Mae who I know is someone Love Island related.
Molly Mae is right. The UK and Ireland has enough free education for everyone for anyone to become something.
She was defending Molly Mae and brought Caroline Flack in as a way of reminding people that negative social media posts can brutally affect the person who receives it, like how Caroline Flack committed suicide after a lot of negativity (this may be putting it lightly but I can’t fully remember the press around Flack).
See this is why I spoke about you being disingenuous, which you seemed so insulted by.
What she was saying is that a 22 year old said something stupid (whether you agree or not is another matter) but it’s not worth the personal vitriol she has been getting and it’s completely needless.
Shes not saying you can’t criticise people whatsoever. You have literally found a way to shoehorn that in to further your agenda with zero basis for it.
So now you're saying she can't criticise anyone for anything despite the fact you tried to have a pop at her for the same thing?
I don't know what your issue is here but you're exactly the type of person she's talking about. In three posts now you've looked for an excuse to slag her off for no reason whatsoever. You made up an assumption about her and when I told you that you had it wrong, you completely ignored it and just had another go at her. What's the matter with you, seriously?
I mean on this particular issue you said yourself you agree with her, yet you still find a way to have a few needless digs at her.
Have a day off, pal. There's criticism and then there's being mean for the sake of it. You're doing the latter.
There is nothing malicious in what she's doing and you know that.
Do you hold Conor Moore or Mario Rosenstock to the same standard? What about Oliver Callan?
You took offense at me saying you ask disingenuous questions and since then you have proven me correct. You didn't give a flying f*ck what she was talking about. You saw it as an excuse to go after her and then post some faux-outrage about her doing impressions of people as if it absolves you from any of the crap you've been posting?
I've honestly never heard of this Molly Mae individual but then I avoid Love Island like the plague. Is she any relation to yer man Hague the former Tory leader?
Have no issue with Doireann Garrihy but hardly need her to be paid to promote the Cheltenham races of all things .Surely the money could have being better spent .The most famous racing festival wouldn't gain much by Doireann giving it a plug .Great gig for her easy money .
