Is this normal for hair salons?

I'm trying to book a slot online for a cut and blow dry but it's impossible to get an appointment and slot.

There's some odd slots available mid week from next week but the times don't suit me. The next free and available slot for a Saturday is on the 15th of January.

Is that normal?

That would be pretty normal for a weekend appointment. They are the most popular and probably booked out for a few weeks! I know when I just want my hair trimmed and I want it done on a weekend, I always have to book it a few weeks before and I don't go to a big salon, just a small one and she is always booked out at weekends.

Just ring them when they open tomorrow - chances are in January they have weekend appointments free. In my experience online booking systems for hairdressers are very poor and dont reflect what is actually available.
