  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,981 ✭✭✭445279.ie

I already cancelled and no email yet. They’re usually quick to send an email but nothing so far

I think you get the offer during the cancellation process, I don't think they send you a follow-up or that's how it used to be anyway.

Has anyone noticed significant delay to the live event when watching Premier League games on Sky Sports? I've score updates on my phone and they are at least 1 minute ahead. I don't have Ultra Boost enabled, didn't notice it being out by this much before, I also am not experiencing any buffering or lag when I launch it.

When I am watching same games on S Sport+ I am not seeing the same delay v's the phone updates from the phone, normally get the score update after I see it on the tv.

About 30 seconds of a delay. Delays are a technology limitation of IPTV unfortunately. No video is actually live via internet.

    €20 ->€10 for each here...https://www.nowtv.com/ie/membership

I am unsure if you were to instead join on a free 7 day trial with the Cinema membership at the top of the page would you then be presented with a better offer for Sports, possibly.

I think you would be better off getting the now tv stick with a months pass for both. 25 euro in total.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,555 ✭✭✭✭Red Silurian

A day pass for each is a tenner so €20 for the 2

I just bought a nowtv stick in Tesco, I'm trying to set the stick up. On my tv, it's asking me to enter a code on my browser. When I do this, the screen just refreshes and a new code comes up. I've tried it about 10 times and I keep getting the same outcome. Anyone have any ideas?

    Thanks

Enter the code in the website address given with the code.

You need to set up an account too.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,691 ✭✭✭Del007

I have done that at least 20 times already. Tried it on multiple devices and on my phone also. I already have an account.

I'm on live chat to them now and they haven't a clue

My Sports membership is due to expire on the 7th and I wasn't offered any better offer when I went to cancel it (saying I could no longer afford it). Maybe they're not doing that any more - I was just told I was missing out on 11 channels for €39 per month. So, any word on Sports vouchers floating about would be greatly appreciated.

@AhrSkidar If your sports expires on the 7th then its good timing, just let it expire, then sign up for one or both of the 6 month offers at 19.50 a month for sky sports and 10 euro a month for sports extra (add the code at checkout from earlier to do both in one go). When you go to nowtv these offers probably wont show up for you unless you log out of the account and clear the cookies (then they appear on the home page) but you can still use the same account when checking out. This offer expires on the 9th so should work out well.

Any movie codes? Was on a deal for 5.50 a month but it was due to expire and when I selected to cancel they offered me no deals.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,202 ✭✭✭Glebee

my Movies if up on 7th of Jan, when I go to cancel and then confirm cancel, it’s offering me €6 a month for 3 months. Have you cancelled fully yet?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,174 ✭✭✭ItsHoggie

Yeah fully cancelled. They usually offer me a reduced rate that’s why I was on 5.50 a month but they offered nothing this time.

Went to cancel Sky Sports and I was offered 3 more months at €13 p/m.

I initially took out a sports package as a trial for two reasons. The first being how bad the Sky Q mini box is. This box sits in the main football room and drops constantly during matches. Sky refuse to do anything about it, saying that this is normal. The **** it is. Now TV and all other streaming services are perfect and never drop. The second reason is cost. Paying Sky directly as opposed via there streaming service is fierce expensive. I also like the option to control my package online and not have to call up to cancel.

NOWPOLWBWB - €15 upfront for 4 months Entertainment.

    Expires 10 January.

I think this might have been posted already, i had originally thought it was movies.

If I cancel another deal and use this will it work? This is a better deal than I'm on and it hasn't started yet.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,631 ✭✭✭Nigzcurran

I have 3 separate nowtv accounts and switch between them depending on what kind of offers I get! Works a treat

How does that work? Different names, different cards, different emails or all of the above?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,631 ✭✭✭Nigzcurran

Just different emails but I get completely different offers on each account when I go to cancel. I highly recommend this way of working!

Seems to be no sports deals going anymore these days, very annoying as a tenner a day is a bit of a rip off !!!
