Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

opinions on 2008 Lexus IS 220.

A friend of mine is going to see a 2008 Lexus IS 220 (2.2 dsl) with about 105 mls on the clock - and is said to have a service history.

I would be a 'serious' DIYer (this is why my friend asked me about this) but I don't know anything about these cars and don't know anyone who owns one.

So I told him I would post here to get some advice/opinions from those who are familiar with them - someone told him the 2.2 are troublesome but another guy said he had one for a few years and no trouble.

    Any help greatly appreciated.

They’re a ball of a yoke, relatively speaking. The mileage is a plus, but theyre not even that good to drive, the power band is really narrow, and 6th gear is unusable.

Thanks for replies , some of his work colleagues backed up your opinions so he didn't buy it.
