Master/Ensuite bedroom smaller than other bedroom?? An oversight or bad design??

Sounds very counterintuitive, we booked an apartment and noticed that Master Bedroom is not only smaller than other bedroom. Max possible bed size is 5.5 by 6 has just a small window. Other room is bigger and with multiple windows. This is just to highlight the difference in layout. Windows count does not matter :-)

It is a 2 Bed apartment in Sandyford. Is this normal or an oversight.

My master bedroom is a couple of inches smaller than my second bedroom but it's marginal. Does the master have an ensuite? walk in wardrobe?

Thanks Caranica. This one has significant difference. I meant Ensuite, perhaps master bedroom is not used much in Ireland. New to country.

Both rooms got wardrobes, none got walk in walk robes. I'm concerned if in future when I leave country, selling it may be an issue. I'm yet to see an apartment which ensuite being smaller than other room and with less external light etc. This one is still in construction.

Mate of mine lives in a 2 bed apartment, the main bedroom (with ensuite) is smaller than the 2nd bedroom.

It certainly hasn't affected the sale of the apartments.

Master bedroom is a common term in Ireland. It is the main bedroom in the house. No confusion there 👍🏾

I wouldn't say it is normal or abnormal. Probably just suited the shape of the space available better.

It is what it is I suppose. It is not something I would be overly concerned with if buying as presumably there is also another bathroom?

There are 2 baths and other one is fantastic :-). So, that would help.

Also, just noticed no sun light inside the house as balcony has trees around it. Not overly concerned as most apartment I saw lacked direct sunlight.
