is ivy good for a sick heifer

I have a sick heifer 500kg, who did not eat for a few days, I got the vet out who has given me injections etc

She started eating a little bit yesterday, would ivy be good for her?

It won’t do her any harm i’d say, the older generation around here always had great faith in it for a sick animal.

Yeah the auld fella would say that eating ivy is a very good sign, a varied diet is better for their nutrition anyways

Feed the ivy. Very common to see some ivy tied up here. More common with the sheep I find

The ivy is good for them and generally they will nibble at it no matter how sick they are. I find the Rumen powders very good to to get an animal eating.
