I am just querying this, we had a child in Feb 2020 - we live seperately and the child lives with me for more then 100 days in the year. Am I entitled to change this tax credit into my name would it be worthwile? The mother of the child has only been working part time for the last 3 years and I have been in full time…

If so is this credit able to be backdated?

It can be backdated but only one of you can claim it and the mother needs to sign it over to you. You cannot claim it by yourself
