Could someone please supply me with information on amateur orchestras or classical bands in Dublin that might have room for a (good) clarinetist? (not asking for myself in case it sounds like boasting).

What age are you? I spent years playing in the Dublin Youth Orchestra out in Ballyroan, that really was great fun. Or if you're older then the DOPes would be good like dod said, or the Dublin Symphony Orchestra.. I'm starting with them tomorrow. They're doing Pictures at an Exhibition which should be fun - good meaty brass parts!
