What is it that should normally have a short shelf life, but lingers on and on ad infinitum? Boy bands and LL Toy Shows, ladies and jellybeans!

In this evening's toy show post mortem (Hobbidy, if you're reading, don't get TOO excited), as well as Westlife getting down off their stools, and rubbing their aching backs, the programme features something called toy show "breakout stars", in other words, an excuse for Team Montrosia to milk the thing for another couple of months until they can start banging on about the next one.

"Back with a brand-new album Wild Dreams and a hugely anticipated stadium tour for 2022, chart toppers Shane Filan, Mark Feehily, Nicky Byrne and Kian Egan will be live in-studio to perform their latest single Starlight."

    And.

"The breakout stars of the Late Late Toy Show, DJ Calum and his Hype-Man Jackson, will be back with Ryan Tubridy to follow up on their explosive performance last Friday night!

With appearance offers flying in, the lads have had a busy week."

The sport slot this week features wimmins soccer. A great bunch of gals no doubt. Himself will have the wikipedia page printed out and on the desk for reference.

"Ryan will also talk to members of Ireland's women's football team who defeated Georgia 11-0 this week.

Ciara Grant, Saoirse Noonan, Denise O'Sullivan and Savannah McCarthy will reflect on their record-breaking win as the dream of World Cup qualification comes within touching distance."

The misery/hand lotion segment this week follows, not going to spend any time on this paint by numbers cynical opportunism.

"Writer and activist Orla Tinsley will chat to Ryan on the anniversary of her double lung transplant about having received the gift of life from an American donor and will highlight why it's so important for the organ transplant programme to run successfully in Ireland."

Music by a chap called Tom Grennan, who hails from Offaly. Enjoy!
