Gamesmaster Remastered - E4

Much better than I expected, will be watching every episode if they keep up that form. Rab Florence is of course a great presenter and the review and music composition segments he did were top quality. Didn't really see enough of the other two presenters to say much about them but they didn't annoy me which puts them a cut above most video game presenters. Trevor McDonald as the Gamesmaster was a truly inspired choice and he was fantastic. The challenges were fun and covered a nice variety of games, I laughed out loud when they introduced Little Lad Larry, and the whole thing was just a huge nostalgia hit.

And after 3 episodes it's over.

Enjoyed the return overall. Didn't know who any of the contestants were so no difference than just having random members of the public on.

Hope it gets more episodes.

"But GamesMaster wasn’t really a show about video games. It was about a bunch of mates having a laugh while playing video games, and that’s why it succeeded. I just wish the whole thing had happened a decade later, in the internet age. When I look at these morons on YouTube, these humour-free monstrosities and all the money they get, I think: “We’d all be billionaires.”

Makes a point about today's biggest steamers or YouTube channels. Hoe many are true funny entertainers. You see so many with a monotone voice talking about something.
