Outstanding from Furlong. Good link play from Carbery and finally a pass from Henshaw!

Doris’s lines have been excellent again today.

Clear deliberate knock on. No clue how the ref didn’t see it live.

could easily be a penalty try.

  • Hosted Moderators Posts: 9,054 ✭✭✭fitz

Very close to a penalty try imo, don't think Murray would have been caught it he had gone through the gap.

    Baird's gonna Baird.

He’s done well every time the ball comes his way. He secured the ball after the Baird break too.

I do think he would have scored but there is enough doubt to get out of a PT. Definite yellow though.

Sheehan, Casey and Harry Byrne all coming on.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,119 ✭✭✭UAEguy2020

If Ireland score a try here I think that's game over.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,119 ✭✭✭UAEguy2020

Oh yes and H.Byrne & Casey are on.

    Carberry to 15.

As I have been watching the 1st half of this game; I was left disappointed at times when Ireland were somewhat clumsy with the ball in hand when looking at the phases of play.

But there have been some good things to look at while seeing Doris, Furlong & Lowe on the pitch. They have been playing very well today. The try from Doris with the added addition of his aggressive intuition with keeping the ball in hand was a great bonus.

If we get to see more of that great style of play from Doris and other players in the 2nd half of this game; we should happy to see it.

It's not been a perfect game to watch so far. But again if we keep a clear head while going up against the argies. We should be keeping ourselves in good stead for the rest of it.

Some difference with casey coming on, run some more midfield dummy lines and we will carve them open.

Good to see Byrne and Casey getting a go.

England and France already have fantastic young 9/10 pairings developed and in place, Ireland need to get a move on there.

Liking the look of Casey. Very sharp on the ball.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,701 ✭✭✭theVersatile

Sheehan's clearly never had to deliver the ball back to nine before in a Leinster maul
