Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Calor is flogging 'BioLPG' - any experiences with it? We currently use a 34kg tank of LPG for cooking so considering using this renewable product, but only if they don't gouge on price...

No experience, but isn't it a bit of a misnomer to call it LPG still? I thought LPG was made from petrol, if this is just liquified biogas then it would be different right?

simple continuity I guess in terms of marketing, not having to overly explain the difference to us consumers

    Good news bad news https://www.calorgas.ie/about-us/biolpg

LPG is propane and butane so as long as they don't change the ratio it's going to behave exactly the same , unlike ethanol versus the mix of hydrocarbons that is petrol

Bad news is it's made from palm oil, certified sustainable so far from the worst but still palm oil which incentivises environmental damage.

well well, doubt they'll be including that in their marketing blurb, and sadly the word 'sustainable' is loosing all credibility if it had any left. btw, how did find this out re. palm oil raw material

I just remembered an episode of The Last Ship where they came across a city which was firing a coal power plant with plague victims

I mean it's technically sustainable right? We can always make more people, and thanks to massive air pollution it would cause, you'd have a steady supply of bodies for form

Are we off topic enough now? 😁

Could also use anti-vaxxers as fuel, only a matter of time until they go anyway so why waste fuel? :D
