The Republicans keep winning elections so obviously a lot of people agree with them. Also, you need to calm down and cut the swearing out. None of this affects your life. The obsession with what Republicans do is unhealthy.

There are illegal aliens and 75 million people voted for Trump and the GOP will likely win the midterms. I see Boards has turned into another crap social media site where the left whines about how the right are on the verge of ending the world whenever they speak.

Except the democrats won the presidency and senate a year ago and still hold the house.

    A truly dozy post.

Things that happen in America affect the entire planet.

I have plenty of friends and family across America, and even if I didn't, I'm human. I've never met a saint nor sinner from Yemen but I'm not emotionless when I see or hear about the latest horror story from there.

Last summer I had to send a friend money when she lost the TWO jobs she was working due to COVID and was getting f*ck all support.

It's been a long time since the Republicans win the popular vote, so you're categorically incorrect that they represent the majority of Americans

How popular though is your pure free market approach on this?

It looks less and less so each passing year.

Don’t forget that Donald Trump himself was a donor for her AG election campaigns, twice.

So clearly he thought she was more than qualified.

What are you talking about? What “pure free market approach” ? On what issue?

Perhaps it might be best to familiarize yourselves with the process to confirm a vacancy for the Vice President in the House and the Senate, in short order.

You can ignorantly accuse me of "whataboutism," but what it really is involves identifying similar scenarios in order to see if it holds up when the shoe is on the other foot!

No need because it's not going to happen.

The House has voted to censure Republican Paul Gosar, 223-207. He has been removed from his committee assignments.

    Why, is Harris ill?

A vice-president has never been impeached and, to my knowledge, only two have ever resigned.

Now, I'm no fan of Kamala but she doesn't strike me as impeachable and I don't foresee any resignation worthy offences on the horizon...

I suggested a while back that biden should own that weak "insult" and see how many people drop it.

    We're about to find out

Did the Democrats hire a new social media department?

    That is quality memeing.

Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) on Friday introduced a joint resolution aimed at blocking a $650 million U.S. weapons contract to Saudi Arabia authorized by the Biden administration.

The Minnesota lawmaker said she introduced the resolution in opposition to Riyadh’s offensive operations in Yemen’s civil war and crackdown on dissidents at home and abroad.

“It is simply unconscionable to sell weapons to Saudi Arabia while they continue to slaughter innocent people and starve millions in Yemen, kill and torture dissidents, and support modern-day slavery,” Omar said in a statement.

Needs a two-thirds majority in both the House and Senate. The fact that there's even such a deal in place is utterly unconscionable.

I highly doubt the dumbest bartender in Congress's bill will get any serious attention.

You calling someone else dumb when you still believe the lies peddled by the conman is pretty hilarious.

I’m pretty sure she went to a better college than you man. Why the petty insult? It’s easy to disagree with someone’s ideas without putting them down.

Bill Maher was on with Fredo last night and he spelt out a few truths for the Democrats.

"Anyone with a D next to their name is just completely toxic" to ordinary Americans, particularly in the age of wokeism.

"Woke -- I don't remember the day the term was born, although I hear AOC says, ‘Only old people use it now.’ Well, you gave it to us. Like five years ago. So sorry we didn't get the memo,"

"In its best sense, if we're talking about being aware of things we should have always been aware of more, reckonings that we've had… but there's a reason why the term ‘woke’ has come to signify going too far. And doing things that don't make sense."

"I keep saying this to the Democratic Party. The reason why you're so toxic is because you've become the party of no common sense. And people see this on their newsfeeds," Maher said. "They see things on their phone or on their Facebook page, people pass things around and it's a constant drip, drip, drip of ‘Oh, these people are nuts' in a way -- they're not oblivious to the fact that Trump is nuts.

He also called out what he sees as clearly shifting editorial decisions by cable news outlets, and was less than charitable towards MSNBC.

“Something like Hunter Biden, I mean, if Don, Jr. had done what Hunter Biden had done, it would be every night, all night on MSNBC,”

“But the fact that it’s hunter Biden and Joe’s on the blue team, that’s the problem with America, everything is so binary,” Maher continued. “Everything that the red team doesn’t like goes in the blue bin and vice-versa.”

“So, you know, every democratic politician has to wear on his sleeve every silly, stupid woke thing that the fringe left does,” he continued. “And the red team has to wear kids in cages and, you know, lock her up and all that kind of stuff.”

He also made some good points on Critical Race Theory

Bill Maher rips into both parties.

That's his thing. It isn't news.

He has a hot take on "woke". He said himself - the term is 5 years old. Not exactly fresh material bill.

He says tv stations are biased. No sh1t.

He says that if donny jnr did what Hunter did, tv stations would be all over it. It doesn't take a brain surgeon to figure out one of them is a private citizen, the other very active in political circles.

    Lenny Bruce he ain't.

    Heading to sub 40% soon...

Hard to see him turn around the negative momentum.

He's right though about a lot of stuff. Both parties are in a bad state.

The woke thing is stupid. I've always been of the opinion that you can do what you like if you aren't hurting anybody else. I'm not woke, I don't want to be woke, I live using common sense and cop on.

I don't care if you are gay, hetero or transgender or anything else, if we can have a good chat we'll be friends. If I don't like you or you don't interest me it's got nothing to do with your choices as regards sex and gender.

I certainly don't believe I have to speak up for these people because imo that's the issue is people speaking for and against it. Just shut up and live your own life and be happy.

It really isn't a big deal at all and it's easily turned around too.

Biden’s main problem is that he is boring. All he does is his job. No daily controversies. No frequent scandals. No hiding his tax returns. No childish name calling of opponents. No frequent campaign rallies of adoring fans. No racist comments on Twitter. No bromances with Putin or Kim Jong-un. No bad mouthing of former aids that disclose what happened in the Oval Office. No bragging on hot mike about grabbing women in their private parts. No shoving foreign leaders aside to be front and center in a photo op. No pitting one party against the other. No fanning the insurrection flames to hide the fact that you are a poor loser.

If Biden wants to improve his Telly ratings, have the news media following his every word and tweet, and win 2024, he needs to learn from the masters.

Biden needs to read the about The King Fish. To paraphrase Huey Long: Good news is the best news. Bad news is the second best news. And no news is bad news for a politician.

Also from a ghost written best selling book about the art of a deal: Saying and doing things “sensational” and “outrageous” like things mentioned above would draw the news media to their mutual ratings benefit, and make Biden an entertainer and not boring.

I am curious how Greene would vote on this. After the Jihad insult on Omar it would not be surprising to see Greene turn around and do more to support Islamic terrorism. I disagree with the Biden administration on this deal and Obama had the right idea banning them even if it came far too late in his term.

Actually here's something that seems to be very absent from this thread.

How's Biden going to turn it around.

    - More voters than not are worried about Bidens mental fitness. He's not getting younger, people don't really believe some of the "stutter" stuff, and he gives the appearance of being very manager when he speaks.

    -The inflation thing

*Addition* The race stuff, he's had a number of items blocked by courts due to discriminating against whites

-The culture wars stuff, Republicans aren't going to stop talking about it and Bidens administration keeps taking on people (national school board member got a role) and taking stances that mean those attacks land.

Anyway what ways can they turn it around keeping in mind the polling and the fact that it doesn't matter what pro Biden posters here think about the mental fitness thing, it's a voter concern.
