You can also use the car as a wi-fi hotspot with the data plan. Possibly more useful if you're traveling, but then again the data roaming allowance is pretty good in Europe

I only ever had 1 flat in the Leaf. Not a puncture as such ether, I hit the edge of a section of rough road when I had to pull in tight to the verge to avoid a speeding idiot. Ripped a 6 inch tear into it lol. Had to drive home on the rim which was only about half a km thankfully.

Few small punctures in the ID3 due to screws etc, always quick easy repairs though.

Lol. Good thing it was so bad though. I has to use the spray stuff to get home and I know many tyre places won't touch the tyre for a repair simply because the spray makes it too hard to find the source of the puncture

Also got my new rims & winter tyres matched up and fitted while I was there. £45 for the lot, rims/tyres married up, swapped for the Andoyas, and the puncture repaired.

Power washing the concrete is a pain in the ass because there's so much of it and because our water (well supply) doesn't have enough pressure to effectively use the washer for so long.

I live on a hilltop in rural Donegal so the winters are a must.

The mud flaps are good, but I do still end up filthy at time because the roads are so minging.

I ordered my Business model also in mid-July. Had the VIN in late September and was told by dealer that car entered Ireland on 5 November. I’m putting off collecting it until January with dealer’s OK.

I think there’s an element of randomness to all of this. I’m guessing a lot depends on the exact spec including colour and, especially, whether they have the chips needed for precisely the spec/options you ordered.

Does anyone with the matrix led lights find they point a bit high when on dip mode? I feel like I'm one of those drivers who blinds everyone because their dip lights are out of whack

I looked in the settings and there doesn't seem to be any way to adjust it, I assume the lights just point themselves down slightly to dip

Also, am I the only person who thinks the indicators are ridiculously bright? I can light up a darkened street with them, seems like overkill 😁

Interesting thing they say that Zwickau hadn't been affected by semiconductor shortages as badly as other plants. For example it mentions that Golf production has been halted multiple times

Maybe all the people who got told their cars were delayed becuase of semiconductor shortages are being sold some BS and it's just down to production backlog

If it's true, then it's probably a good sign that VW is giving prioirty to ID cars over their popular ICE cars

8% degradation in Chris’s car has been confirmed by a VW dealer. Not great news for us. Hopefully the scale of degradation won’t have too much impact on the trade in values…

I’m sure it does. He admitted that he used ionity frequently and charged to 100%, but still a big degradation over 24k. I wonder whether VW will regret giving a 8 year warranty for 30% degradation.

That's what I was thinking, like I'm sure VW did tests and accounting on the 30% figure, this is a battery platform they are heavily invested in. Guess we will all learn in time. Still waiting on mine :) hope I made the right choice in the car and the varient.
