Is there a list or map of these in Boards?

If not, perhaps people might add to this:

Kildare, Maganey south of Athy, Circle K petrol station. 24 hours access

Kildare, Ballymore Eustace, Fogarty's Convenience store/Cafe. 6am to 9pm, otherwise locked.

    Galway, NUIG

(Lines written from the comfort of a warm dry kitchen, but it won't always be thus)

There are bike tools in a solar-powered "smart" bench in the Sandyford Business Park in Dublin. At the junction of Carmanhall Road and Blackthorn Road.

Also there is a repair station inside the secure bike parking facility on Drury Street in Dublin. The pump didn't work the last time I checked, but everything else looked ok.

There is one outside St. Vincent's hospital in Dublin, near the bike shelter. Cant comment on its current status though

This one is mapped on https://www.opencyclemap.org/

If people give exact descriptions of where things are (photographs would be good), I and others can add them. If any facility has closed they can be addressed also. Alternatively, people can sign up to www.openstreetmap.org and add / edit them themselves.

EDIT: we can't accept images from Google Maps / Street View www.mapillary.com is an acceptable alternative, but coverage is limited.

I see these poppin up here and there by the council

Crazy in my opinion. They will be vandalised, wrecked n robbed in no time if they are in public areas.

They are fine in controlled environments, like business premises, a college or school campus, and so on. But not on the public road. Experience has taught me that as far as the public streets and roads are concerned, if it isn't made of steel and concreted into the ground, it'll just vandalised, robbed or driven over.

The MFV Creadan Lady is a mussel dredger from Dunmore East.

There's one in Rathfarnham at the junction of Grange Road/Nutgrove Avenue. I've never used it but earlier this year I did stop and ask a lad who was fixing a puncture if needed anything. He said he was all good so I moved on.

The Kildare one's are part of an initiative by the local County Council to promote cycling by incentivising local cycle cafes, there are 12 so far, mostly though not entirely in the south of the county.

Galway installing Westside Library, Blackrock, Eyre Square, Lough Atalia Road Playground

    This is Blackrock

Its at the Blackrock Tower - the sea spray is going to put this "pittman" to the test. (Can see corrosion already on the bike shelter stands and they are not in that long).

Think its a trial for 18 months at these Galway locations?

This one is in Trinity College, just inside the Science Gallery entrance at Pearse Street. Pump working and all tools present last time I checked.

I'd say if you can add the eircode to any reference it would help Victor hugely with this, and a verbal description to help people in breakdown situations.

Westside Library = H91 Y067 - This is the Eircode of the Library. The Station is directly outside the front door of the library

BlackRock Diving Tower = Opposite the Ocean Tower Apartments (No 1 has Eircode: H91 P207 ) The Station is beside the bike shelter at the Blackrock Tower - on the Promenade.

Eyre Square = This is the only one I am not sure of the location. zell12 might know

Lough Atalia Road Playground = Station is located at the BikeShare Station (H91 D710 - Bikestation is next door to this property)

I saw one last week in the Aasleagh Falls carpark in County Mayo. Just north of Leenaun, Co. Galway.

There's one at Tri Equestrian cafe/tack shop on the NE corner of the Curragh, Kildare, just E of the racecourse stands. Not a bad cafe either, if there's no horse racing at that time.

    Eircode R56 RK26

There's one near Woodies in Lucan beside the bike lockers. I see it's on the Open Cycle map but hard to see unless you zoom right in on it so not sure how useful that is for someone looking for a stand in an unfamiliar area. According to Google Maps it's been there since at least April 2017, I only knew about it last year and have been driving past it daily for years!

Does the one in Drury St have tools on the back? I just saw it as I was leaving so didn't see anything.

Was there not one on the Grand Canal? Thought there was, terrible place for it unless it was at 12th lock.
