Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Citroen C3 timing belt replacement time and kit make

    Hello,

    I have a 2015 (152) 1.2l Citroen C3. A nice nippy small car, a UK import, just under 60k km on the clock at present. I bought it super low mileage in September 2019 and for obvious reasons added less mileage than expected since!

    However, the official time for timing belt replacement is 5 years and 100k km. And the car is already 6 years old.

    How urgently do I need to replace that timing belt?

    And also: are any of Febi, Dayco, Gates timing belts any good? That's what I can find online. Or do I need to get one from a Citroen dealer, presumably at triple the price?

    Citroen/Peugeot/Stellantis do a second line of parts under the name Eurorepar. A Citroen dealer will give you the price of the Eurorepar timing belt kit. It'll be less expensive than the original kit but maybe a bit more expensive than some other brands.
